Macfarlane Packaging teams up with internet sensation Professor Packaging at eDelivery Expo this week

Macfarlane Packaging, the UK’s largest distributor of protective packaging materials, is teaming up with Sealed Air’s Professor Packaging for a “every second counts” pack challenge during the eDelivery Expo at the NEC this week on 27th and 28th April.

Professor Packaging, who will oversee the challenge at the Expo, is an internet sensation who has a successful YouTube following with his series of videos called ‘Will it break?’ where he tests how well his ‘precious egg’ is protected using chosen Sealed Air packaging materials. He uses unusual methods to test the protective materials including monster trucks, professional boxers and cliff drops – take a look to see how he does it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zbtcLznJa-U

The Macfarlane challenge at the Expo will see visitors to the stand compete against each other to pack a mug and throw it through a basketball hoop in the shortest possible time. There will be a Top Gear style score board and the winner at the end of the Expo will win an iPad Pro.

Experts on the Macfarlane stand will also be offering advice for internet retailers and outlining a range of internet retail packaging solutions with a focus on ‘speed’ and getting products through the door quickly while maintaining an excellent level of customer experience – especially during peak periods. Also on the stand, there will be a Clever Touch television to demonstrate the facilities in the company’s recently opened Innovation Lab.

Macfarlane Packaging is inviting all delegates to come along to their stand this week to take up the “every second counts” pack challenge for themselves. Visit stand K80 at the eDelivery Expo, co-located with Internet Retailing Expo at the NEC in Birmingham on the 27th – 28th April.
