Macfarlane Packaging is the UK’s leading packaging distributor and we’re on a mission to ensure your online shopping ends with a good unboxing experience.

Each year we conduct a survey to understand the standard of the packaging on your online orders, does the packaging meet your expectations? Do you enjoy unpacking newly purchased items or is it just infuriating as you struggle to open a package?

We know that COVID-19 has caused a dramatic surge in online orders, testing retailers ability to meet demand. What impact has that had on your unboxing experience? Has it altered your expectation from retailers? Has the desire for environmentally-friendly packaging been put on hold?

Take part in our unboxing survey to help us understand retailer trends and ensure that all your online purchases arrive in packaging that is easy to open, easy to return and kind to the environment.

You might love the product you ordered online but how was the packaging? We are undertaking the UK’s largest unboxing survey to get a better understanding of your opening experience.

First Prize: £250 One4All Shopping voucher or you can choose to donate all or a portion of this to a charity of your choice

Terms & Conditions

  • Surveys must be completed in full to qualify for entry to the prize draw.
  • Orders from marketplace and auction sites including eBay, Amazon, eBuyer etc. cannot be submitted.
  • You may complete the survey more than once, but the item should be from a different retailer.
  • Items must be purchased from online retailers. If we have reason to believe that your item is not a genuine order we have the right to refuse your entry.
  • The survey will open on Monday, 26th July 2021 and close on Sunday, 22nd August 2021 at 23:59. Macfarlane Group UK Ltd has the right to withdraw this promotion at any point before this date.
  • Prize draws will be held on Monday 30th August and the winner will be notified via email. The winner will also be announced on Facebook.
  • There are five individual prizes available in the draw. First Prize: £250 One4All Shopping voucher or the winner can choose to donate all or a portion of this to a charity of their choice, second prize: Apple Airpods with Charging case worth £159, third prize: £100 Spabreaks.com Gift Card, fourth prize: The Sustainable Foodie Gift Box from Social Stories worth £46 and the fifth prize: Bottle of Veuve Cliquot Yellow Label Champagne.
  • The prizes are as stated and no cash or alternatives will be offered.
  • In the event of a prize being unavailable, the promoter reserves the right to offer an alternative prize of equal or greater value.
  • Five winners will be chosen at random at the end of the survey.
  • If you do not want to be entered in the prize draw, you have the option to opt-out during the survey.
  • The prize draw is open to residents in the United Kingdom aged 18 and above who provide their email address.
  • If the winner of the draw does not respond within 14 days, Macfarlane Group UK Ltd reserves the right to hold another draw to select a new winner.
  • Macfarlane Group UK Ltd accepts no responsibility for entries that are lost, delayed, misdirected or incomplete or cannot be delivered or entered for any technical or other reason. Proof of delivery of the entry is not proof of receipt by Macfarlane Group UK Ltd.
  • Macfarlane Group UK Ltd accepts no responsibility for any damage, loss, liabilities, injury or disappointment incurred or suffered by you as a result of entering the prize draw or accepting the prize.
  • The decision of Macfarlane Group UK Ltd in all matters under its control is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
  • Macfarlane Group UK Ltd shall use and take care of any personal information you supply in accordance with data protection legislation and as described in its privacy policy which can be found here. By entering the Prize Draw, you agree to the collection, retention and usage of your personal information in order to process and contact you about your Prize Draw entry. Your data will not be passed to 3rd parties.
  • Employees of Macfarlane Group UK Ltd or any associated company of Macfarlane Group UK Ltd are not eligible to enter the prize draw.
