Vermiculite is a totally natural, fibre free, completely fireproof and lightweight loosefill. It is also used within the construction market for insulation, agricultural and horticultural markets for seed germination and potting mixes.

The high absorbency of Vermiculite makes it an ideal packing material, particularly for liquid items. Vermiculite is also UN approved for use in the transportation of hazardous materials.

When subjected to heat, vermiculite changes to have a property of exfoliating or expanding into worm-like pieces.
