Standard Tapes
Standard packaging tapes are made using 25 micron polypropylene tape, with either solvent based adhesives (ideal for long term sealing use) or hot melt adhesives (recognised for their versatile application, superior tensile strength and adhesion properties). Polyproplyene sticky tapes share the following characteristics: - Harder to tear and typically require a dispenser or knife/scissors to cut - Do not stretch - Noisy coming off the roll - Slower coming off the roll - A shiny finish For the best of both polypropylene and vinyl sealing tape characteristics, choose low noise polypropylene packing tapes that combine the strength of polypropylene tapes with the speed (off the roll) and noiseless aspects of vinyl packing tapes.
