Filament Tapes
Filament tapes, also known as strapping tapes, are an extremely strong tape that is typically used for bundling heavy products and sealing and reinforcing heavy boxes and container boxes.
Filament tapes have fibreglass filaments either cross weaved or single weaved, which reinforces the tape, giving the tape its immense strength.
Filament tape can be applied manually or with a hand tape dispenser. Due to the strength of the tape, a hand dispenser is the easiest way of applying the tape as the blade on the tape dispenser will cut through the tape without the need for knives or scissors.
Filament tape also offers tamper evident properties as the weaving of the tape requires the tape to be cut with a knife which will easily show if the sealed box or container has been tampered with.
Filament tapes are used within the steel industry as a replacement product to metal and polypropylene strapping.
